A local nonprofit and several churches in Fort Wayne are making sure children in the Southeast side will have gifts under their Christmas tree.

Chris, the human agricultural cooperative's goal is to make sure at least 500 children will wake up with christmas joy with through toy drive.
Christmas will look different for many families this year.
However, the southeast fort wayne toy drive lead by the human agricultural cooperative is hoping to fill the gap for those who want to have gifts under the tree.> 00:11:35-00:12:02"on the southeast side of town before covid, there was a large number of people barely surviving before that, so imagine going through a pandemic, possibly losing your employment, you're already living paycheck to paycheck, toys and gifts like you said are far from their mind."the goal is to help at least 500 children, but they would like to help as many people as they can.> 00:09:54-00:10:00"look to your left and right if you're in fort wayne right now and you have an unmet need, express it."hyper local impact, family and friends fund, family and friends of n-w-i, true love baptist church, and courageous healing, inc.
Are donating funds toward the cause.people can bring toy donations to the drop off locations starting today.> 13:21:44-13:21:55"with kids at home, and people out of work, any light of hope we can give people, any piece of joy we can bring them, i think it's important that we do that."
Come as you are community church, the fort wayne urban league, big momma's kitchen, this is for us and faith united methodist church are the drop off locations starting next week.this is the first time they all have joined together to do this toy drive>13:25:06-13:25:30"if you're a person that's collaborating, a person that's serving, that's giving $5 or $2, whatever you can give, that will lift your spirit, so someone else will wake up christmas morning with a smile on their face because they were able to have a gift this season."
They will need volunteers to help wrap and distribute the toys.
