Bell ringers ares still out -- collecting donations for the "red kettle campaign."

The goal of the vigo county salvation army is to raise a hundred and 20-thousand dollars.

With just a week left of 20-20... envoy sue linden says the salvation army is still 10-thousand dollars short.

Nationwide... the salvation army is short 20-percent of its goal.

National service leaders say they've already seen the increased need for services this year.

That may be contributing to lower donation totals in communities across the country.
