"* feet into the air and casts a shadow over century's athletic field.... but it's also cast something of a legal shadow over r?
"* p?
"*s since 2018 be of a dispute over who actually owns it.
Back in 2000... the school district leased a section of property here at century to the company that built the tower.
That company then subleased it to cell phone companies like at&t for several years... before the school district decided to terminate their lease two years ago.
R?
"*p?
"*s says bec the tower wasn't removed before the end of the lease... they considered it to be abandoned property... and began leasing it out themselves.
The company then sued r?
"*p?
"* s... and after of litigation... both sides have finally come to an agreement to walk away "the terms of the settlement are at this point confidential, although they will be disclosed in about 12 days.
And i can tell you that it resulted in a net?
"*gain for the district, including our fees and expenses.
So you heard it there... 12 days until we learn more about this settlement.
Schueler adds people should thank the school administration for showing resolve during this fairly intense litigation.
And one reason why... is because the school district has been able to leverage this tower into another source of income.
Live in rochester... anthony monzon... thank you anthony.
