Bird flu: Over 4 lakh chickens died in one month, informs Haryana Minister

Haryana Animal Husbandry and Dairying Fisheries Minister JP Dalal on January 08 informed that samples from different poultry farms sent to Bhopal for the test out of which 2 chickens samples were found positive for H5N8.

"Over 4 lakh chickens died here in a month.

We sent samples to Jalandhar.

Samples from different poultry farms were also sent to Bhopal - samples from two of these were found positive for H5N8 (avian influenza)," said Animal Husbandry Minister Dalal.
