India records 16,311 new COVID cases in last 24 hours
As per the data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), India on January 11 reported single-day spike of 16,311 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.
161 deaths in the same period pushed the COVID-19 toll in the country to 1,51,160.
India's confirmed cases of coronavirus stand at 1,04,66,595 which include 2,22,526 active infections.
More than 1,00,92,909 people have recovered from the virus with 19,299 new discharges in last 24 hours.
According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 6,59,209 samples were tested on January 10.
Cumulative samples tested for COVID-19 till January 10 are 18,17,55,831.
