Forest fire spreads to other parts of Kullu in Himachal
Fire which broke out in the grazing area of Bijli Mahadev forest in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu on January 12 has now spread in the nearby Manikaran area.
However, the originating flames were brought under control by dint of locals last night.
But tonight flames again progressed rapidly in other parts of the district.
Fire officials are on the spot to douse the flames.
Recent bypolls across seven Indian states resulted in significant gains for the opposition INDIA bloc, which won 10 out of 13 assembly seats. The Congress party secured victories in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, while the Trinamool Congress swept all four seats in West Bengal. The BJP won two seats, including one in Madhya Pradesh.
