During the Army Day celebrations on January 15, Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane told that over 200 terrorists near LoC and in counter-terrorism operations in last year.
"Around 300-400 terrorists are sitting in training camps near the border to infiltrate into the Indian territory.
Number of ceasefire violations went up by 44 per cent last year, which shows the nefarious intentions of Pakistan.

In a deadly encounter in Jammu and Kashmir Doda district, four Indian Army soldiers, including a Major, were killed. This marks the second major attack in the Jammu region within a week, indicating escalating violence. Terrorists are using sophisticated tactics and advanced weaponry. The conflict has spread to previously peaceful areas, with 48 soldiers killed in the past 32 months.

The Indian Army on Sunday paid rich tributes to two soldiers who lost their lives in separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, which also resulted in the neutralisation of five militants. The solemn ceremony was held at the Badami Bagh cantonment in Srinagar. The Bannu military cantonment in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, located over 330 km east of Islamabad, came under a severe attack early on Monday (July 15). The assault, reportedly led by several suicide bombers, resulted in a prolonged gunbattle with security forces. The militant group Jaish Fursan-e-Muhammad, a faction of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) led by Hafiz Gul Bahadur, claimed responsibility for the attack.
