Rafale fighter jets, which were inducted into the Indian Air Force (IAF) last year, featured in the Republic Day parade and culminated the flypast by carrying out the 'Vertical Charlie' formation.

A Rafale jet with two Jaguar Deep penetration strike aircraft and two MiG-29 Air Superiority Fighters conducted the "Eklavya" formation at a height of 300 m and a speed of 780 km/h.

The parade culminated with a single Rafale aircraft flying at a speed of 900km/hr carrying out a 'Vertical Charlie'.

The aircraft was piloted by Group Captain Harkirat Singh, Shaurya Chakra, Commanding Officer of 17 Squadron with Squadron leader Kislaykant.

Five Rafale fighter planes were formally inducted into the IAF in September last year.

India is procuring the fighter planes from France.

Russia claims to have destroyed a MiG-29 fighter jet at Dolgintsovo airfield in Donetsk, Ukraine, using an Iskander missile. Drone footage allegedly shows the strike's impact. This attack is part of a series targeting Ukrainian airfields, including earlier strikes in Poltava that reportedly damaged SU-27 jets and an MI-24 helicopter. Russia says the explosions also destroyed nearby weapons and vehicles. Putin's Fury Unleashed On Ukraine: Devastating Video Shows Nine Ukrainian War Jets Turned Into Ashes

Russian forces reportedly destroyed nine Ukrainian fighter jets in 24 hours, including strikes on Mirgorod airfield. They claim to have intercepted Western-made missiles and numerous drones. The attacks, involving Iskander-M missiles, damaged or destroyed several Su-27 and MiG-29 aircraft. Russia also reports intercepting Storm Shadow missiles and downing a Bayraktar TB2 drone. These losses are significant for Ukraine's air force, prompting Kyiv to request F-16 jets from Western allies to counter Russia's air superiority and potentially strike deep into Russian territory. #RussiaUkrainewar #Ukrainewar #Ukrainewarlive #Ukrainenews #RussiaWar #Putin #VladimirPutin #Worldnews #Oneindia #Oneindianews ~HT.178~PR.320~GR.344~ED.194~
