Over 100,000 people have died with coronavirus in the UK
More than 100,000 people in the UK have died within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus since the pandemic began, according to the Government's measure of the death toll.
During a Downing Street briefing, Boris Johnson said it is "hard to compute the sorrow contained in that grim statistic".
The Prime Minister offered his "deepest condolences" to everyone who has lost a relative to coronavirus and vowed to ensure those who have died are remembered.
