Calligraphic exhibition cum workshop held to boost 'age-old-art' in Srinagar

In order to provide a platform to young artists and keep the age-old art alive in the Valley, Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation organised a calligraphic exhibition cum workshop.

During the time of pandemic, this art form received much attention from the youth.

They ventured into various form of calligraphy, ranging from 2-D, 3-D, Western, Arabic, and Oriental.

This platform not just exhibits the art work of people but also nourishes them with new techniques.

Event attracted hundreds of participants and visitors amid the severe cold conditions.

The youth participating in the exhibition cum workshop believes that calligraphy is continuously growing in the Valley.

Similar platforms can contribute in giving a boost to this emerging form of art.

This visual art related to writing, is the design and execution of lettering with a broad-tipped writing instrument.
