Governor Gretchen Whitmer surprised hundreds of thousands of high school athletes, their parents, coaches, and supporters when she set the date to resume winter sports to February 21.
High school players, parents and coaches are asking the state health department to let them play after another delay to winter contact sports, which involves basketball, cheer, hockey and wrestling.
