Delhi cops, their families protest against attack during tractor rally

Retired and current officers of Delhi Police, members of families of Police personnel who were injured in the violence during farmers' tractor rally on Republic Day, and Delhi Police Mahasangh staged a demonstration at Shaheedi Park in protest against the attack on Jan 30.

"I was on duty at Red Fort.

I was deployed at the gate of the Fort.

We were bringing out the crowd that had entered and hoisted the flag when suddenly we were attacked.

They had sticks and swords with them.

I received injuries on my head and legs," Head Constable Ashok Kumar said to ANI.

"I was deployed at Mukarba Chowk.

DCP-ACP were also there.

They spoke to protesters asking them to go to approved route.

But they turned aggressive, broke barricades, attacked us and vandalised vehicles.

Didn't know they would attack us," Head Constable Sunita, posted at PS Model Town told ANI.
