Farmer protest: Stage collapses, Rakesh Tikait, others fall during Jind event

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait and others fell as a stage collapsed during an event in Haryana's Jind.

Tikait was attending a 'mahapanchayat' reportedly called by Kandela Khap president Tek Ram Kandela.

A large number of people were seen crowded onstage before the cave-in.

Tikait is one of the leaders of the ongoing farmer protest at Delhi's borders.

His emotional appeal following the Republic Day violence had renewed the stir.
