PM Modi promises Assam people to establish medical, technical college in local language
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 'Asom Mala' programme in Assam's Sonitpur district.
This initiative will boost the state's road infrastructure and contribute to Assam's economic progress and improve connectivity.
The event is taking place at Dhekiajuli town of Sonitpur on February 07.
While addressing the event, PM Modi said, "It is my dream to ensure that every state has at least one medical college and one technical college that teaches in mother tongue." "I promise to people of Assam that when we come to power after the election, we will establish a medical and technical college in local language," PM added.
YS Sharmila Reddy, Congress party chief in Andhra Pradesh, waded into waist-deep floodwaters on July 24 to highlight the Union government's indifference to the state's flooding crisis. Visiting Nandamur village in West Godavari, Sharmila criticized the Modi government for neglecting Andhra Pradesh in the recent Budget, while states like Bihar, Assam, and Himachal Pradesh received flood relief funds. Over 420 villages are inundated, with 9,078 people evacuated to relief camps.
