Uttarakhand glacier burst: Rescue ops on war-footing by ITBP, NDRF and sister agencies
A joint team of ITBP, NDRF, SDRF and other sister agencies entered into the tunnel.
They removed the debris and slush from under the tunnel near Tapovan Dam in Chamoli following the glacier burst which led to heavy flooding in Dhauliganga and Rishiganga Rivers and also impacted Alaknanda River.
Drone camera is being used to see the feasibility to enter beyond the cleared site inside the tunnel.
