Lion severely injured in Gujarat's Amreli after being hit by goods train

A fully grown lion was severely injured after it was hit by a goods train on February 16 in near Rajula town in Amreli district, Gujarat.

The lion, aged between 5-9 years was rescued from the railway track and then shifted to Babarkot rescue centre, the big cat is being taken to Sakkarbaug Zoological Garden for further treatment.

A team has been formed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
