Opposition leader Vijay Wadettiwar accused the Maharashtra government of deliberately delaying the arrest of Mihir Shah, the main suspect in a recent incident. Wadettiwar alleged this delay was to allow time for alcohol to clear from Shah's system before testing. He claimed the police and government attempted to cover up the issue, hiding Shah until he tested negative for alcohol. Wadettiwar suggested this was done to protect the accused and called for a high-level investigation into the matter, questioning the integrity of the arrest process.
