Energised private sector needed to make India world leader: FM Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman interacted with members of PHD chambers in Bengaluru on February 21.

FM Sitharaman highlighted that unless the private sector is energised enough and facilitated enough, India will just lose a very big opportunity to be a world leader.

"With that specific India touch which is more humane, which is more bringing everybody together, which is peaceful.

So if that's the way India approaches its responsibility, that will be incomplete unless government plays the role of key facilitator and unless private sector plays the role of key driver.

It is a Budget not just for this year.

It is a Budget for setting the path for the decade," said FM Nirmala Sitharaman.
