Train services resume in Srinagar after almost a year
The train services have resumed after a almost a year in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar.
The services were halted due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Passengers are feeling much relieved after reopening of train services.
The rail services were suspended on March 19, 2020.
While speaking to ANI, the Station Superintendent of Northern Railway, Abdul Rasheed said, "I request all to continue wearing masks and abide by social distancing norms."
Kashmiris prepare for Ashura with solemnity, as mourners, including women and children, walk barefoot to commemorate Imam Hussain's martyrdom. Volunteer groups set up water stalls along routes to Imambara Zadibal. Despite a historic allowance of the 8th Muharram procession last year after 34 years, the traditional Ashura procession from Abiguzar to Imambara Zadibal remains banned.

The Indian Army on Sunday paid rich tributes to two soldiers who lost their lives in separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, which also resulted in the neutralisation of five militants.
