Texas was facing unprecedented extreme cold weather, freezing pools and water pipes.

This girl was curious about her frozen pool and went outside to investigate with a shovel.

She prodded the icy layer on top with the shovel to break the ice.

Seeing that the ice was thick enough, she stepped on the frozen pool.

The ice gave under her weight and cracked, causing the girl to fall in the freezing water.
