New COVID-19 strains detected in India highly transmissible: PGIMER Director
Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh Director Professor Jagat Ram alerted citizens of India over new COVID strains.
Prof Ram said, "New COVID-19 strains detected in India and the UK strain is highly transmissible.
We should take all possible precautions to prevent the rise in cases.
Currently, we have 55 COVID-19 cases at the hospital.
The 25th anniversary of the Kargil War is commemorated by a motorcycle expedition undertaken by 12 coursemates of Captain Vikram Batra, alumni of the Indian Military Academy's 101 Regular Course. Departing from Chandigarh, they pay homage to fallen comrades and heroes who served during the conflict, symbolising the sacrifices made to protect national sovereignty. On Day 2, the expedition reached Udhampur. Traversing the rugged Kargil terrain, their journey echoes the battles fought and lives lost in defence of the nation, highlighting the invaluable contributions of India's armed forces.
