Corruption is part of system, very difficult to weed it out: Maharashtra DGP

"Corruption is part of the system and is very difficult to weed it out," said Maharashtra DGP Hemant Kumar Nagrale during a press conference when asked about corruption in the police department.

Maharashtra DGP said that the only thing that can be done is make out maximum number of cases to deter any public servant from indulging into corruption.

"I'm not defending corruption.

The act is prevention of corruption, is not abolition of corruption act," he added.
