Illinois Legislator Proposes Bill to Prohibit ‘All Violent Video Games’.
The bill was introduced by Illinois Rep.
Marcus Evans last week.
Bill HB3531 would amend the Violent Video Games Law and change provisions surrounding the sale of “violent video games” to minors.

It would effectively prohibit the sale of “all violent video games” on the basis that they “perpetuate human-on-human violence.” .
The bill would also change the definition of “serious physical harm” to include psychological harm, various forms of abuse, domestic violence, violence against women and carjacking.

A video game that allows a user or player to control a character within the video game that is encouraged to perpetuate human-on-human violence in which the player kills or otherwise causes serious physical or psychological harm to another human or an animal, Bill HB3531, via Complex.
In a statement to the ‘Chicago Sun-Times,' Rep.
Evans seemingly blamed video games for the increased carjacking rate in Chicago.

A total of 218 carjacking incidents were reported to Chicago police in January.
The bill would prohibit the sale of some of these games that promote the activities that we’re suffering from in our communities, Rep.
