A blue whale shark was spotted at Sonapur coast in Odisha’s Ganjam.

Washed ashore, the whale shark was spotted lying lifeless by fishermen.

The fishermen immediately alerted the forest department officials after the mammal was found to be alive.

Few tourists and locals thronged to get a glimpse of the blue whale shark.

Some even helped the department officials to release the mammal back into sea.
