JNU admission: VC hits out at faculty, backs NTA’s involvement in entrance exam

Jawaharlal Nehru University Vice-Chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar hits out at faculty members opposing the involvement of the National Testing Agency in the entrance examination.

Kumar said that the exam has become more transparent after NTA took over the admissions.

Kumar said that a few faculty members seem to think that UGC rules should not be followed.

Meanwhile, Jawaharlal Nehru University Teachers’ Association (JNUTA) alleged that the delay in appointment of the new V-C was “deliberate” to give an indefinite extension to Kumar.

Kumar’s term as VC ended on January 26.
