An adventurous cat had a lucky escape after it was spotted holding up a high speed train - by snoozing on the roof.

The tabby was spotted curled up on the top of the London Euston to Manchester service minutes before it was due to begin its 125mph journey.

Despite being dangerously close to the 25,000 volt overhead lines, the cat looked perfectly content snuggled up on top of the Avanti West Coast train.This video was shot on the 2nd March 2021.
