Guatemala's Pacaya volcano has erupted, expelling lava for several hours and prompting the country's meteorological institute to warn that incandescent volcanic blocks could rain down on nearby towns.
Pacaya volcano in Guatemala erupted for the second time in three days on Friday (March 5). Strong explosions were recorded at the volcano which lies around 50 kilometres south of Guatemala City.
