Army trains women to run bakery in Rajouri

The Rashtriya Rifle Battalion in collaboration with an NGO has set UP a bakery unit in Rajouri's Lam village.

Unemployed women were trained on baking skills for three weeks by the coordinator of Assem Foundation.

Based on self sustainment model, bakery unit has modern machinery installed for smooth functioning.

Project aims to generate employment, make woman self-reliant and self-dependent.

Total of 12 women were trained for running this bakery.

Earlier also Rashtriya Rifle battalion has carried out various projects like Tailoring cadre, driving cadre, computer classes in order to empower local women.
