Body of minor girl found in Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon, accused nabbed

The body of an eight-year-old girl was found on railway track in Somni Police Station area of Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon.

As per the post-mortem report, the girl was physically assaulted and the accused tried to rape her.

The accused have been arrested.

While speaking to ANI on March 06, the Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) of Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon, Mani Shankar Chandra spoke on rape accused attempted suicide.

CSP Chandra said, "The body of an eight-year-old girl was found on railway track in Somni Police Station area.

According to the post-mortem report, the girl was physically assaulted and the accused tried to rape her." "We have arrested the accused," he added.
