Melinda Gates: Women are leaving workforce in huge numbers
CNN’s Becky Anderson speaks with Melinda Gates on International Women’s Day about what governments can do to support women after the United Nations said the coronavirus pandemic has driven 47 million women out of the workforce.
Israeli airstrikes on Yemen’s Sanaa airport and key military sites have resulted in at least six deaths and 40 injuries. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was at the airport during the attack. The Israeli military targeted Houthi-controlled infrastructure, and the situation has drawn international concern. Iran condemned the strikes, and the UN called for de-escalation. The Houthis, backed by Iran, have been involved in attacks against Israel since 2023.
