Tripura: BJP's tribal wing hints at contesting TTAADC polls alone

The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) tribal wing Bharaitya Janajati Morcha (BJM) in Tripura has hinted at contesting the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections on its own.

Speaking to the media, BJM president Rebati Tripura said that they have expressed their willingness to contest the upcoming TTAADC elections alone in all 28 seats.Rebati further added that the party is not in favour of any friendly fight in selective seats with the Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT).

He however, added that the Chief Minister gave them a patient hearing and said that they were waiting for the BJP's central leadership for seat sharing agreement with IPFT and final decision will be known to all by next two days.

The TTAADC election is scheduled on April 4 and merely two days left for submission of nominations.
