Shivratri celebrations: Devotees throng Rameswaram's Ramanathaswamy Temple to witness annual chariot festival

Scores of devotees flocked to Rameswaram's Ramanathaswamy Temple to witness the annual chariot procession of lord Ramanathaswamy and Goddess Parvathavarthini as part of Shivratri celebrations.

The 12-day-long yearly festival started on March 4 with the flag hoisting ceremony at the temple.

COVID-19 protocols have also been followed during the chariot procession.
