BSF-BGB to play Maitree football matches to motivate border population
To commemorate 50 years of Independence of Bangladesh from East Pakistan, a series of football matches will be played between the Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) informed Susanta Nath, IG, BSF, Tripura Frontier in a press conference on March 15.
Organized by Border Security Force, SPL, DG, HQ (Eastern Command) Kolkata, the series of matches will be held on March 18 at the Brajendra Kishore Football Stadium at the bordering village of Belonia in Tripura.Under the Eastern Command of the BSF, there are six frontiers and there shall be one match in each frontier with the final taking place at Dhubri under the Guwahati frontier on May 1.
