Pune govt school gets cattle fodder instead of mid-day meal

In a shocking incident, a government school in Pune received cattle fodder, instead of mid-day meal for students.

The school employees noticed it and immediately informed about it to FSSAI.

The officials from FSSAI reached the spot and sealed the packs.

Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol said, "Mid-day meal scheme is run by state government.

Municipal Corporation is responsible for only distribution among students.

It is very unfortunate.

An inquiry is demanded." This mid day meal is part of government scheme and usually is supplied to students in schools only.

However, since schools are closed due to COVID-19 situation, the administration has started distributing it to their houses.
