Assam polls: Congress releases party manifesto

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on March 20 released party's manifesto for Assam Assembly elections at party office in Guwahati on March 20.

After releasing the party manifesto, Rahul said, "We are aware that the RSS and BJP are attacking diverse cultures of this nation.

They are attacking our languages, history, our way of thinking, our way of being.

So this manifesto provides a guarantee that we will defend the idea of the state of Assam." The state elections are scheduled to be held in three phases starting from March 27.
