Sharad Pawar protecting Maharashtra govt with half truths: Fadnavis

NCP chief Sharad Pawar held a press conference on March 21 after former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh alleged Home Minister Anil Deshmukh of demanding extortion money from Sachin Waze.

Reacting to Sharad Pawar's statements Maharashtra Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis called the 'Maharashtra government' Pawar's product and said that therefore he believes it is his responsibility to safeguard it.

"Sharad Pawar created this government (Maharashtra) hence he is defending them.

He believes that this government is his product and it is his responsibility to safeguard it.

He presented half truth, what he should have also said was that Sachin Waze was brought back in service on orders of Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister only," said Fadnavis

Sharad Pawar Reflects on Maharashtra Polls: Defends Baramati Choice, Admits Challenges

Sharad Pawar defended fielding Yugendra against Ajit Pawar in Baramati despite the latter's dominant win. Acknowledging his faction's poor performance with just 10 seats, Pawar credited the Mahayuti's women-centric Ladki Bahin scheme for its electoral success. He emphasized reconnecting with voters and learning from the results while refraining from commenting on allies' EVM allegations. Despite setbacks, Pawar expressed determination to rebuild his party and highlighted the contrasting outcomes between the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections as a key lesson. #MaharashtraElections2025 #SharadPawarSpeaks #BaramatiBattle #AjitPawarVictory #LadkiBahinSchemeImpact ~PR.282~ED.194~GR.124~HT.336~

Maharashtra Exit Poll 2024: BJP-led Mahayuti Likely To Retain Maha, Setback For MVA

The exit polls for Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 predict a comfortable majority for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, signaling another term in power. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, comprising the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, Congress, and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), faces a significant setback as poll numbers suggest a loss of key constituencies. Mahayuti's stronghold across rural and urban Maharashtra appears to have been bolstered by grassroots campaigns and alliance strategies. Meanwhile, the MVA is grappling with questions about its approach and leadership challenges.
