Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader Sarbananda Sonowal promised to bring error-free NRC and implement CAA to make sure no illegal migrants stay in the state.
"CAA is a central act and it's to be implemented, while NRC will be corrected, it's full of errors and can't be accepted.
We will bring an error free NRC and make sure that no illegal migrant is staying in the state," said CM Sonowal.

The previous Jharkhand Assembly elections were decided by a mix of socio-economic and political factors that resonated deeply with the state's voters. Key issues included tribal welfare, unemployment, rural development, and land rights, which became decisive in swaying public opinion.
The JMM-Congress-RJD alliance successfully leveraged its tribal connect and promises of inclusive governance, securing significant support from rural and marginalised communities. Meanwhile, the BJP's focus on development projects and infrastructure faced backlash from anti-incumbency sentiments and dissatisfaction over economic policies.

The Maharashtra assembly election results reveal a commanding lead for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, signalling a decisive victory. As the numbers roll in, celebrations have erupted in Mahayuti strongholds, while a tense silence looms over Matoshree, the residence of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray.
Early trends indicate the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance struggling to keep pace, with key constituencies slipping from their grasp. Senior MVA leaders have hinted at accepting the public mandate, as internal discussions begin on the road ahead for the coalition.
