The delegation Pakistani officials had arrived in India for the meeting on Monday.

The Permanent Indus commission deals with water rights on the Indus river.

This was the first such talk between India and Pakistan in over two and a half years.

Indian side was led by Indus Water Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Saxena.

Pakistani side was led by Pakistan’s Indus Water Commissioner Mehran Ali Shah.

The last Permanent Indus Commission meeting had taken place in August 2018 in Lahore.
