Delhi Police arrest notorious auto lifter with illegal arm and ammunition

Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of Delhi Police has nabbed notorious auto lifter Sanjeev aka Ganja.

Accused is also a history-sheeter previously involved in more than 40 criminal cases of robbery, burglary, snatching, auto lifting, and arms act.

An information was received by AATS of Shahdara district that Sanjeev would come to near cemetery situated at Seemapuri to deliver a stolen car.

Accordingly, a team was directed to conduct vehicle checking near the spot.

During checking, they noticed a car without a number plate that was coming from old Seemapuri roundabout.

The checking staff used a barricade and signalled the driver to stop.

Sensing police checking, the driver (Sanjeev) tried to take a u-turn.

But the team swung into action and surrounded the car.

The driver tried to flee by leaving the car behind, but his efforts went in vain with the efforts of police team.

During the search, one loaded country pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession.

Three stolen cars were also recovered from his possession.
