Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda on March 26 said that his party is making its base in Tamil Nadu and the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been appreciated in the state.
"Certainly, BJP is making inroads in Tamil Nadu.
The enthusiasm of the crowd speaks that the work done by Narendra Modi in the last 6 years has been appreciated," Nadda said during a roadshow in Chennai on March 26.
Recently, DMK leader Kanimozhi said that the elections will be a straight contest between DMK and AIADMK, and BJP is not a challenge.
The Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu will be held in a single phase on April 6 and the counting of votes will be done on May 2.
Polls will be held for 234 seats in the state with the DMK-Congress alliance and the ruling AIADMK-BJP coalition being the major groups contesting against each other.
