Firefighters rescued a cat trapped in a deep ventilation shaft in southern China.

Firefighters rescued a cat trapped in a deep ventilation shaft in southern China.

The heroic video, shot in the city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province on March 27, shows a fireman tied by a safety rope climbing down a 6-metre-deep ventilation shaft and then lowering down a bucket to approach the trapped cat.

Two other firefighters then pulled the bucket with the trapped cat inside out of the ventilation shaft safely.

After around 10 minutes, the cat was rescued successfully.
