'We aren't BJP': Rahul Gandhi visits Kamakhya temple, vows to fulfill promises

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati on Wednesday.

He is on a two-day visit to poll-bound Assam.

The Gandhi scion is on his third visit to Assam as part of election campaigning.

Rahul is scheduled to address rallies in Pitigur Field, Chaygaon, Kamrup and Barkhetri.

“Congress has given five guarantees to the voters of Assam.

We are not BJP, we have always fulfilled our promises.

Tea garden workers must remember our guarantee of Rs 365 per day as minimum wage,” he said.

Congress' Priyanka Gandhi is also scheduled to visit Assam on Friday.

First phase of polling took place on March 27, while the second phase will take place on Thursday.

Polling for the last phase will be held on April 6 and counting of votes on May 2.
