The two ministers held delegation-level talks in Delhi.

During talks, EAM Jaishankar said, "I think when it comes to our own relationship, you know that it is indeed something very special.

Despite the rapid changes in the world over last many decades, our relations have grown from strength to strength.

This year marks the 22nd year of our strategic partnership and 12th year of our special and privileged strategic partnership.

So, I'm sure that many of our conversations would be conducted in that spirit as very close partners." "Our countries are tied through a strategic partnership and at the heart of our partnership is the long-lived friendship between our nations and proximity of our stance on relevant international issues and our friendship.

Our bilateral, political dialogue is at its sustainable highest even amid the stringent epidemiological restrictions.

It was an honour for me to host you and your colleagues in September last year and we had BRICS' Foreign Ministers' Council and we also had bilateral and trilateral meetings," said Russian Foreign Minister.

In a striking statement during his visit to Kazakhstan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made it clear that the breakdown in relations between Russia and the United States was not Moscow's doing. He emphasised that it is up to the U.S., under the incoming Trump administration, to take the first step toward restoring diplomatic dialogue. Lavrov asserted that Russia is ready to engage in talks, but only if the U.S. is willing to approach negotiations without imposing unilateral demands. His remarks came amid rising tensions between the two countries, and Lavrov warned that unless the U.S. changes its approach, relations will continue to deteriorate. #Putin #Lavrov #Trump #USRussiaTies #DiplomaticTension #RussiaRelations #GlobalPolitics #USForeignPolicy #InternationalRelations #PoliticalRift #USRussiaDiplomacy #ForeignPolicyWar #GeopoliticalShift #PutinTrump #RussiaUSConflict ~HT.97~PR.152~ED.194~GR.344~
