Discussed manufacturing of Russian military equipment with 'Made in India' concept: Russian Foreign Minister
Union External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar held delegation-level talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on April 06 in Delhi focusing on deepening military cooperation between the two countries.
In a joint press conference, Sergey Lavrov said that prospective and additional manufacturing of Russian military equipment in India within the concept 'Made in India' was discussed.
"We didn't discuss statements from USA.
Instead, we confirmed that we are going to deepen our military cooperation.
We have a governmental committee on military-technical cooperations that has its own plans," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Russia's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov also dismissed the Ukraine peace security conference due to take place in Switzerland in July, while touring Africa.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov blamed the U.S and said that U.S sanctions have exacerbated aviation safety issues, in reference to the helicopter crash that killed Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. Iranian media reported that images from the crash site showed the U.S.-made Bell 212 helicopter, which Raisi was travelling on, had slammed into a mountain peak. However, there has been no official determination regarding the cause of the crash.

A tragic fire incident that took place in Kuwait today, claimed the lives of about 43 people and injured at least 40 others. As per On Manorama, 10 Indians, including five Keralites have lost their lives in the blaze. The incident took place at Mangaf block In Kuwait's Ahmadi Governorate. India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar expressed his deep shock and sorrow over the incident. Adarsh Swaika, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, visited the injured workers at Al-Adan Hospital and the fire site, promising all possible help.
