External Affairs Minister of India, Dr S Jaishankar attended Raisina Dialogue 2021 via video conferencing on April 13.At the meeting, Jaishankar said, "Even before the pandemic, India has been providing humanitarian assistance, disaster resistance to all.
We have demonstrated in a practical manner, our belief that the world is a family." "Those who question international cooperation, I want people to understand that our ability to make vaccines is a result of international cooperation.
International cooperation is not a one-way street where we give to others, somewhere short changing ourselves," he added.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe have formally commissioned the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) in Colombo. Funded by a USD 6 million grant from India, the MRCC aims to enhance maritime safety across the region. A tragic fire incident that took place in Kuwait today, claimed the lives of about 43 people and injured at least 40 others. As per On Manorama, 10 Indians, including five Keralites have lost their lives in the blaze. The incident took place at Mangaf block In Kuwait's Ahmadi Governorate. India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar expressed his deep shock and sorrow over the incident.
