Jharkhand High Court on Saturday granted bail to RJD president Lalu Prasad in the Dumka treasury case of the multi-crore rupees fodder scam, paving way for his release from jail.
The bail was allowed to Prasad by Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh.
The court directed him neither to leave the country without permission nor change his address and mobile number during the bail period.
Bihar's Deputy CM claimed an aide of opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav was involved in alleged NEET paper leaks and irregularities. He said Tejashwi's former aide booked rooms for an engineer accused of leaking questions, alleging the RJD tries to influence appointments. The claims follow a confession about arranging stay for NEET candidates on a "minister's" directions. Amid protests over results, 13 arrests were made in Bihar for the alleged paper leak.
