Case registered against 5 prisoners after 2 inmates try to escape from Muzaffarpur jail

Two prisoners tried to escape from Muzaffarpur jail in Bihar last night.

The incident led to chaos at Khudiram Bose Memorial Central Jail in Muzaffarpur.

They were later caught inside the jail premises.

Three jail inmates had helped them to escape.

Police registered case against five prisoners.

Muzaffarpur SDO (East) Kundan Kumar said, "They were trying to escape with the help of three other prisoners but they were caught.

2 prisoners were trying to escape with the help of 3 other prisoners.

Both of them were caught inside the jail premises.

One of the inmates is Jumma Miyan alias Kankatwa and the other is Abhishek Kumar.

Further action will be taken after registering an FIR." Further investigation is underway.
