'Don't lose hope, carry on, things will change': Outgoing CJI Bobde

On the last day of his tenure, Outgoing Chief Justice of India, Sharad Arvind Bobde on April 23 gave a message to all the young members of the bar over COVID pandemic.

"To the young members of the bar who are disheartened by the evident events of the pandemic, I want to say, 'don't lose hope'.

Carry on.

Things will change," said Bobde during his farewell speech via video conferencing.

"We decided to move towards artificial Intelligence because I think it is futile to ignore it.

I think if we don't adopt Artificial Intelligence, we'll find ourselves at great disadvantage," he added.

Bobde administered oath as the 47th CJI in November 2019 and is retiring today.
