In big boost to COVID fight, Ludhiana steel plant amplifies Oxygen production

In order to ensure seamless and unhindered supply of medical oxygen to the hospitals in Ludhiana, Vardhman Steel Plant in the city has set up another unit to amplify oxygen production.

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma inaugurated the plant on April 26.

He said, "From here we are getting 1500 cylinders of oxygen per day.

This is a big help.

We need 2800 cylinders.'' 1,560 positive cases and 9 deaths were reported in Ludhiana on April 25.
