The US Census Bureau announced that the total population of the United States is over 331 million people and which states will gain seats in the House of Representatives.
The House passed a stopgap funding bill to avert a government shutdown just hours before the midnight deadline. The bill extends funding through March 2025, providing disaster relief and farm aid, but excludes the debt limit suspension demanded by President-elect Trump. The bill now moves to the Senate for approval before being sent to President Biden.
